Confidence in Colourwork & Fairisle at Wrington Chapel Tuesday 16th May
This is a new workshop in response to demand for lessons in colourwork. This is my favourite knitting technique and I am very excited to share it with you. This workshop is suitable for those who have my Wrington course which ran for 16 weeks or for those who can confidentially knit and purl , rib, and are dexterous with yarn and needles. Please contact me if you are unsure of your ability level and I will be happy to help. In this workshop we will learn the range of techniques to add colour, patterns and pictures to your knitting. We will be focusing on stranded colourwork and how to catch your floats, however we will touch on mosaic , intarsia and duplicate stitch also. I will give you a brief history of Fairisle and a hand out to take home to read at your leisure. You will also receive an emailed document which will cover everything we have done in class so you don't have to worry about taking notes or forgetting your skills. All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own needles and yarn if you prefer. Hot drinks will be provided and there is ample parking. The room at the chapel is on the first floor so unfortunately may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
