Sock knitting workshop wrington April 30th 7-9 pm

You must have either completed the “knitting in the round workshop” or have experience in knitting in the round for this class.

In this class we will learn how to construct socks. We will look at the different methods of construction before moving on to learn how to construct a heel flap and gusset. We will then move on to the toe formation. There are many different ways to construct both heel and toe, as well as cuff down, toe up variations. We will learn a cuff down, heel flap and gusset , barn toe style sock. We will use a chunky yarn with thick needles so that we can get one sock finished in the lesson time. I will contact you nearer the time with details of what you need to buy for the class but a needle and yarn shouldn’t be much more than £10 total.
