Pumpkin 🎃 knitting workshop for complete beginners upwards Wednesday October 23rd 7-9pm

A knitting workshop for all standards in including complete beginners held at Axbridge town hall on Monday October 23rd 6.45pm-9.15pm. We will be in the upstairs room , so unfortunately there is no disabled access for this class. Drinks will be provided. All materials provided.
Yes! This class is for anyone, whether you have never held a set of knitting needles before, or if you are a dab hand at knitting. I have structured the class so that you all begin with a piece of knitted fabric that I have knit before hand, and we learn how to sew up and stuff our pumpkin. This is yours to take home. After this, you will choose a pattern either plain garter stitch for the complete beginners or a rib or cable for advanced beginner or intermediate knitters. I will then teach the complete beginners how to make a simple knit stitch and will teach the other students how to do a simple cable with a cable needle. Cabling is much much easier than it looks ! But shhh , us knitters like to keep it a secret ;). In this class you will get a kit in a box to take home which will include the first pumpkin we sew together, another yarn to make two more pumpkins, enough stuffing for two pumpkins and a tapestry needle. You can borrow knitting needles and cable needles in class, but these are to be returned. The cost of this class is slightly more than my other classes, to cover the cost of the kit. As always, I only use 100% natural fibres and biodegradable materials. The yarn is a blend of Alpaca and Sheep, the stuffing is Hedwick Sheep fleece and smells incredible, and the gift box is cardboard. Once you have the skills to make these simple , but delightful pumpkins, you can make as many as you like at home! They make gorgeous gifts, and add a rustic cute ornament to any home.
