Pumpkin knitting workshop at Middlecombe Nursery, Wrington Saturday 22nd Oct 2.30pm-4.30pm
This October I will be holding Pumpkin knitting workshops suitable for beginners and above. These adorable little Pumpkins may look quite detailed, but they are so easy even a complete beginner can master them very quickly. You will receive a kit to make 3 Pumpkins which will include orange yarn to knit the outer shells, green yarn for the stalk and Hedwick wool to fill them and a tapestry needle. Knitting needles will be available to borrow at the workshops or feel free to bring your own size 4mm straight or circular needles. If you do not finish all three Pumpkins in class, you will get to take home your kit to finish at your leisure. You will receive 2 hours of instruction on how to sew up and construct your Pumpkins along with learning the cast on, knit and purl stitches. If you already know these stitches you are very welcome to join us, it is a class for all standards. In a lot of my classes the more advanced students tend to help my less experienced students which is a wonderful way of coming together and getting to make new friends!
This worshop is held at the gorgeous Cuppa coffee shop at the family run Middlecombe nursery. Please note that drinks and food are not included in the workshop price, but you will of course have the opportunity to purchase a drink and snack if you would like. Their coffee is especially good!
Middlecombe nursery also run a successful Pumpkin Trail each year to raise money for charity which is definitely worth a visit as is the nursery itself. It is the only nursery I have bought my plants from for over two decades as a professional gardener. The quality and service they provide are both exceptional.
