Kingston Seymour Beginner Knitting Class

Thursday morning 10.30am-12pm from February 9th- March 2nd 2023 At Kingston Seymour village hall. There is easy access and ample parking

Over the weeks I will teach you how to cast on, basic knit stitch and purl stitch. How to do increases and decreases to shape your work and show you the different styles of knitting to help speed up and find the style you prefer . By week 4 you will have expanded your skill set which will enable you to challenge yourself to more complex patterns. You will also be taught the basics of lace and colour work which I will go in to in much more details in my advanced beginner's classes. We will also cover some textured knitting skills.
You will be given a choice of beginner patterns to make which you will work on at home with guidance from myself . You will need size 4mm needles and 100g of DK weight yarn which you can bring with you or at an extra cost of £8 pre-order from me. The yarn I will provide will be 100% sheep wool which comes in a selection of colours. Please send me an email along with your payment telling me which colour you would like to order at least 10 days before the course start date. Alternatively the Yarn shop in Cleeve , Alterknit Universe is open Thursday to Sunday 11am - 5pm and Kim and Karl are always happy to help you buy needles and yarn! You will be invited to join my Facebook group which is exclusively for Naomi & Noah students where I share free knitting patterns that I find online suitable for my students standard and I will guide you through them if and when you need help.

Once I have received your booking payment, I will email you the information you need re directions, arrival time, parking, toilets, etc. I will be holding advanced beginner, Intermediate classes following this so you can progress through the different stages with me as your tutor if you would like to.
