Clevedon learn to crochet three week course Wednesday March11th-18th-25th 10.30am-12.30pm

A three week course for complete beginners to crochet held at Clevedon Community Centre , Princes rd. All materials are provided to use in class. This class is on the 1st floor and accessible by stairs .

This three week course includes 6 hours of class tuition encompassing workshop 1, 2 and 3 of my beginner crochet timetable .

WEEK 1 -We will start by learning how to hold our hook and yarn before moving on to learn the main stitches. Yes I can teach left handed students too 😉. By the time you leave, you will have mastered many techniques to start you on your crochet journey. All hooks and yarn are available to borrow in class, and you can take your piece of work home with you. You will receive the instructions and video tutorials by email straight after the class to print out at home

WEEK 2 -In this class I will teach you how to make a granny square. It only uses two stitches chain stitch and treble crochet, which you would have learnt in week 1. You will learn how to read a simple pattern with instructions and diagrams. You will receive a granny square written pattern
A hand out with full instructions and photo tutorials and a video tutorial link to continue your squares at home

WEEK 3 - Ollie the Octopus 🐙! In this class we will be learning how to make Amigurumi, which is Japanese for to crochet a model. We will make this simple octopus , we will learn how to read a written pattern and shape our work using increases and decreases. We are using 8mm hooks and super chunky yarn to make it as easy as possible. All materials and hooks provided . I have a selection of other free simple amigurumi patterns on my student Facebook group for you to print out and try. As always students receive free unlimited out of class email help and advice .

Welcome to the wonderful world of crochet! At my workshops you will receive expert tuition and even free out of class help and advice. My classes are very laid back, warm, fun and friendly and we always have a giggle too!
Once you become a student of mine , you can join my small private Facebook group exclusively for my students. Here I share free beginner patterns and hints and tips. It’s also a place where students can show their work and ask questions. I am always happy to give free advice outside class via email and a lot of my students message me throughout the week with queries and to show me their practise pieces. I actively encourage out of class communication!
I keep my classes small (5 maximum ) to ensure every student receives enough individual attention. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I hope you can join us.

If you cannot attend the class after this time frame I will do my best to sell your ticket and give you a full refund. If I cannot sell the ticket no refund will be able to be given. Refunds and transferring tickets to future classes cannot be given for illness, holidays , changes of plans etc. All needles and yarn can be borrowed in class unless otherwise stated .
