Blagdon beginner crochet course March 12th- April 2nd
A four week beginner crochet course held at court lodge in Mead Lane next to Blagdon village stores. There is no disabled access for this venue. There is free parking opposite, in the village car park. The class dates are March 12th - 19th - 26th - April 2nd. Classes are 90 mins running from 10.30am-12pm.
Over the course of the classes we will be learning how to crochet. We will start by learning how to chain (the equivalent of casting on in knitting) and how to do the 6 basic stitches. We will then learn how to make granny squares and read patterns, and then move on to making small animals, amigurumi and also some decorative stitches to make blankets and other household items. Lots of my students like to sew granny squares together to make cardigans and bags. This craft is so versatile, and much quicker than knitting. All materials and hooks will be available to borrow in class, but if you want to practise at home , I suggest buying your own hook or set of hooks. I will give you suggestions to which to buy, once you have booked on. You will receive a folder to keep all of your class handouts and patterns in to take home. After this course there will be the opportunity to continue onto advanced beginner crochet course. I hope you can join us to welcome in the Spring , with some colourful crochet . My classes are relaxed , fun and friendly and you will receive out of class help and assistance via email. I hope you can join us ! 🧶
