A complete beginner crochet course of 4 weeks held at Axbridge town hall. This class is held upstairs with no disabled access I am sorry. If you would like information to my classes held at venues with disabled access, please do not hesitate to contact me
Over the course of these classes, we will be learning how to crochet. We will start by learning how to chain (the equivalent of casting on in knitting) and how to creat the 6 basic stitches. We will then learn how to make granny squares, read patterns, and then move on to making small animals, amigurumi and also some decorative stitches to make blankets and other household items. Lots of my students like to sew granny squares together to make cardigans and bags. This craft is so versatile, and much quicker than knitting. All materials and hooks will be available to borrow in class, but if you want to practise at home, I suggest buying your own hook or set of hooks. I will give you suggestions to which to buy, once you have booked on. You will receive a folder to keep all of your class handouts and patterns in to take home. You also get out of class free help and advice via email , and an invite to join my private Facebook group, exclusively for my students where I post free beginner patterns. After this course there will be the opportunity to continue onto advanced beginner crochet course. I hope you can join us to cheer up the dark gloom of January with some tea and yarn craft!
